PSA topic

Everyday thousands of animals are abused worldwide. It is wrong to abuse any kind of animal. Pets should be treated like family members. Studies show that a lot of violent people abused animals in their past. If you are mean enough to abuse innocent animals chances are you are also mean enough to abuse children. It is also important to get your pet spayed/neutered. One female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in 6 years time. One female cat and her offspring can produce 20,736 in 4 years time. Feral female cats can potentially have 5 litters of kittens in a year.  Having those statistics just further support the need to spay and neuter our pets.  Maybe, if we get the numbers of unwanted animals down those that can harm them, then we are making progress in keeping those born from being harmed. Anyone who abuses animals should be punished because animal abuse is just plain wrong

PSA review

The story of the PSA poster is a girl who was saved from committing suicide and now she has hope. The audience for this is teenagers. I know this because there is a teenager on the cover. The message of this PSA is even if you’re having a bad day don’t commit suicide because problems are temporary but suicide is permanent. It also shows that there is hope for those who decided not to do it. The artist who made this used dominance to show their message. The artist also used a quote to show their message. The heart in the girl’s hand shows hope.

PSA write up

A perfect world to me would have no more famine. Hunger kills innocent people every day. Here in America we have everything we need. People in other countries wonder where their next meal is going to come from. Lots of the world’s problems happen in the countries where there is hunger. I believe if there was no hunger many of these problems would go away. Another thing that would help to make the world a better place is no more war. If everyone could get along we would have no more problems and we would be able to all live together in harmony. If war ended less people would be killed over the stupidest things. People go to war for land, money, religion, and so many other things that are completely pointless. Millions of lives are lost in war and it is all for nothing. If there was no more famine or war this world would be a better place.

flash photography

Flash photography
A flash is a device used in photography producing a flash of artificial light typically 1/1000 to 1/200 of a second at a color temperature of about 5500 K to help illuminate a scene. One of the main purposes of flash is to illuminate a dark scene. Other uses are capturing quickly moving objects or changing the quality of light. Most current flash units are electronic, having evolved from single-use flashbulbs and flammable powders. More modern cameras often activate flash automatically. Flash units are commonly built directly into a camera. Some cameras allow separate flash units to be mounted. In professional studio equipment, flashes may be large, or studio strobes, powered by special battery packs or connected to mains power. They are either synchronized with the camera using a cable or radio signal, or are light-triggered, meaning that only one flash unit needs to be synchronized with the camera, and in turn triggers the other units. The earliest flashes had of a quantity of flash powder consisting of a mechanical mixture of magnesium powder and potassium chlorate that was ignited by hand. Later, magnesium filaments were contained in flash bulbs filled with oxygen gas, and electrically ignited by a contact in the camera shutter such a bulb could only be used once, and was too hot to handle immediately after use.
