history of photography

What is photography?
Photography is the practice of creating pictures by recording radiation on a radiation sensitive medium.
Define the roots photo and graph: Photo means light and graph means writing so photograph mean writing light
When was photography discovered and by who?
Photography was discovered by Joseph Nicephore Niepce in the year 1827
History of photography:
Joseph Niepce took the very first photograph in 1827. Later Louis Daguerre formed a partnership with Joseph. After Joseph died Louis created a more effective method and his son sold the rights to the French government. In 1839 the first photo of a person was taken By 1850, there were over seventy studios in New York City alone. In the early 1940 ‘s the first high speed photographs were introduced. In 1984, Canon unveiled the first digital camera.
